Vintage Rajasthani Pitara Chest – Antique Wooden Storage Trunk
Discover timeless heritage with this Authentic Vintage Rajasthani Pitara Chest (No-46009747). Also known as Pithara or Pitara Box, these dowry chests were traditionally used in Rajasthan and Gujarat to store grains, textiles, jewelry and heirlooms.
This one-of-a-kind piece features a solid wood core completely clad in hand-hammered iron straps, decorative rivets, and cross-weave embossed panels. The front is secured with two large antique iron latches and the lid features a classic rolled-edge design.
Standing on its original solid wooden wheels, this chest combines functionality with history. The natural rustic patina, rust, and aged texture are original and cannot be replicated.
